The site's pages help you understand foundation problems. They can't stand in for someone looking at your own house.

Can this site tell me what's wrong with my foundation?
No. Two houses with the very same crack can need completely different repairs, or none. The clay under the lot, how water drains around it, the age and type of wall, nearby trees and old fill all change the answer. Nothing here is an engineering opinion or a soils report for your property. A visit is the only way to know.
Are the prices on the cost pages what I'll pay?
They're planning ranges for jobs around St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County, meant to help you budget. They aren't quotes. Depth to firm soil, access, the number of piers and permit fees move every job. Your written price is the real figure.
Are the photos from real jobs here?
They're illustrations of the conditions and repairs each page talks about. They aren't before-and-after records of a particular customer's home.
Is any result guaranteed?
We can't promise how a house will behave years from now, because soil and weather keep changing. Warranties, where they apply, are the written ones from the crew or the product maker, and their terms are what count.
What about the links and the law?
Where we mention a permit office or a state agency, check with them directly for the current rules. If something here seems wrong, tell us at hello@gatewayfoundationworks.com and we'll fix it.
