Terms of using this site

Plain terms for browsing the site and booking an inspection with us.

Last revised November 2026 · Questions: hello@gatewayfoundationworks.com

What you can count on

  • The inspection, the measurements and the written plan don't cost you anything, and you're never obliged to book work.
  • Prices in our cost guides are planning ranges for the St. Louis area. The number you'd actually pay is the written price you get after the inspection, and it holds for the period printed on it, normally 30 days.
  • A written price only becomes an agreement once you sign it.
  • Work booked through us is done by independent crews who are registered and insured. Missouri doesn't license foundation repair statewide, so we tell you exactly what each crew carries.
  • When a repair is structural, the permit is pulled from the office that covers your address, and its fee appears as its own line on the price.
  • Any plumbing tie-in, such as a sump discharge connected to a drain line, is handled by a licensed plumber.

What we ask of you

  • Give us accurate contact details and a fair description of what you've noticed.
  • Let us reach the walls, the basement and the crawl space on the day of the visit.
  • Tell us about anything buried near the foundation you know of, like a sprinkler line, a septic tank or a buried fuel tank, so digging can be planned around it.
  • Treat the site's guides as general reading, not as a diagnosis of your own house.
  • Don't copy the site's text or photos for use elsewhere.

These terms are read under Missouri law. If we change them, the revised date at the top changes too. Questions go to hello@gatewayfoundationworks.com or (314) 932-9816.

Seeing a crack you did not see last year?

Call or send the form. An inspector measures the house, explains what is moving and why, and puts the repair and its price on paper before anything is dug.
